Okay so since 6:30 tonight I have been having contractions. I thought they were braxton hicks because they were not regular. Well now they are at every 7 min apart. All of this started on when I was having an argument with my ex about him wanting our daughter this weekend when its mine. He actually had a dectective call me!!! Basically dectective told him he cannot have her on my weekend. Anywyas I think the stress is making me have them. What do you think?

I would call the doctor and see what they say because you dont need them to get worse and have a baby tonight.:blinky_ani_angel_pr

They just keep coming and my stomach is hard as a rock. :( The hurt really bad and I just called my OB.

Sorry your having a hard time with your ex too. I was shocked when a detective called me!! WHen the dectective found out it was my weekend he was pissed at my ex. See normally it was to be my exs weekend but we switched back in August (the 5th to be exact) so he could have her on his weekend he was off. Okay fine with me. Well now he wants to switch back because he got laid off. First off he didnt even inform me he got laid off. The detective got pissed!

Have you tried changing your activity and drinking a huge glass of water?

:rofl I bet you gotta pee now. I know I would. :) Have you tried taking a relaxing warm bath? The stress is probably what has your BH's acting up. Has your doctor called you back yet?

Really? They are usually so great for managing contractions during birth, and making BH's go away. But the tub has to be large enough that you can almost float in it, as you need to relax completely.

How about a shower then? We don't want those BH's doing anything to your cervix. How about that doctor, any news? I'm worried about you....

I cant float in my tub. I Have always loved hot baths just not when my tummy hurts or back pains, like when I pass kidney stones.

Still waiting on doctor to call me back. going to call again

Please check in in the morning, and let us know you're okay. Take it easy tonight, and DO NOT HAVE THAT BABY. :)

Hi ladies, I went to L&D and before they put me on the monitor the RN was feeling my belly when I would have the contractions. They were coming pretty close together. She found baby quickly on the monitor and then the contraction monitor on. She called my OB before doing anything else (like registering me with all those questions) and gave me a shot of terb something. Good grief did I not like that stuff!!!! My DH was getting nervous because he was looking at the monitor and kept saying hmmmm. The RN said if they didnt stop then she would give another shot in 30 min. Well 20 min after the first shot she came in and gave me another one. I thought I was going to die with my the shakes and my head hurting. She offered me a pain shot but I said no only tylenol. The contractions finally stopped. The RN was really really super duper nice! We talked about what went on prior in the night and she said stress could have brought this on. Went home and slept and just got up. I feel good now except a huge headache! The baby was kicking and everything last night, the RN said the shot makes them feel jumpy too. I told the baby to stay put!

Susan, I'm glad the terbutaline (sp?) worked for you, and hopefully you won't have to experience that again. I wish there were a way to reduce your stress. Take care of yourself.

Thank you ladies so much. I have never in my life thought I was going to die like I did with that stuff. I hope and pray that this little baby stays put until at least 37 weeks. Have any of you ladies ever that terb stuff? I got a huge headache after getting those shots and today thought it would go away if I took a nice nap. Well no, I woke up and it was way worse. I had ate a baked potato and a bisquit for breakfast around 9 something. By 4m came when I woke up from my nap I thought my head was going to split. I got sick and was seeing spots everywhere. DH made spaghetti for everyone but that just didnt sound good. My mom brought me some tylenol because we ran out and she got me a roast beef from Arbys which tasted really good. I took another nap and just got up feeling alittle better. I had to get online to order checks while I remembered or I am going to run out. I am not going to be talking to my ex the rest of this pregnancy. My DH said he will be the one to take my daughter to see her dad when its his visitation. Thanks again ladies, you are truely the best! (((((hugs to all)))))

Excellent plan. Your DH sounds very supportive and kind. I'm sure he knows that's best.

I hope your headache goes away. I hate headaches. :(

Thanks, I am glad that everything is okay too. I was so scared last night that baby was trying to come early. My DH is so amazing lately, tomorrow is his 32 birthday so I am going to try and do something extra special for him. I ordered him a cake yesterday and guess what it is.....Transformers! We're going to go out to eat tomorrow for dinner and then was planning on going to play a game of putt putt but now I think we are just going to come home after the dinner. I am going back to bed. ((((((((hugs))))))))

resting up is the best thing you can do,and with your dh being so good with the "ex" issues, that should really help get you a lot further along at keeping this baby in.

i just had a thought---- one of my asthma inhalers is turbutaline...and yes it gives headaches as well....how strange?? maybe its the strength of the steroids in them??

I'm glad you and the babe are doing better. Try to rest up and take care of yourself and the baby.

Ali~ My head is better today, just alittle headache and I hope it goes away soon. Do you get a headache everytime you use your inhaler? My DH had a headache yesterday when he woke up and I was so jealous of him when his went away within 2 hours of taking tylenol for it.

tottypops

yes i get them really bad some days,im meant to use both of my inhalers twice a day but in all honesty i dont really unless im feeling bad.
my asthma tends to be more stress related,so i try to avoid stress.

i didnt use either of them at all while i was over in the US and not really used them since ive been home.

steroids can do all sorts of stuff to our bodies and unfortunately headaches tend to be one of the majority of complaints
