Hello- my name is Paul.
I am a IF( I hope) in the future future. I hope to get to know everyone
but bear with me I am not that great on this computer yet. Its a lot to learn in a hurry but I have friends who swear I can do it so I will try my best.

I am happy to post by the way~ thanks to Star who fixed it for me- actually it was my mistake I think posting an old email instead of my new one.

I cannot wait to learn all about surrogacy from everyone. The sooner I learn the sooner I can get to it!

I know someday my dream will come true!

WOW how excited I am to be the FIRST guy here!;)
I am doing my homework to speak. Research is importent. I have lots to learn and wanted a smaller environment to learn in than some websites I have lucked onto.

I cannot wait to get to reading so do not dismay. I will be here each day reading and learning and then it will be onto asking questions I just hope you all don't get sick of me asking.

Anyone want to explain how TS is vs GS
I know the basics who is related and who
is not. I know that GS is more costly
but am unsure which route maybe the
best in the long run.

I will appreciate any opinions I can get .

Paul:)

Other than the biological link there really isn't a whole lot of difference in TS vs. GS. You use an ED either way, it's just the fact of which carries the baby. TS is a bit more risky as far as the surrogate wanting to keep the baby. It does happen but not often. If that is a worry to you, then TS may not be the route you want to take. To help avoid that worry getting an experienced TS may be the best option for you. That way you know the TS has surrendered a surrogate baby successfully before. Also with TS age does matter vs. with GS it really doesn't. The older the TS the higher risk of complications and birth defects. Any more questions, feel free to PM me.

Right, GS is just the physical carrier of the child, no bio link. If you go the GS route it is more exspensive because of the added drugs, MD appts and you will need to get a separate egg donor. A TS (traditional surrogates) is when the surro is the egg donor and the GS at the same time, so she will have a bio link to the child.

I am a GS turned TSx1, which means I started out GS with my Intended Fathes and our GS embie transfer (Xfer) didn't take, so we switched to TS and that is when we got pregnant. I delivered my surro son in the summer of 2004. Loved it, loved every second of it.

The key with surrogacy, especially traditional surrogacy is that your TS must deliver in a surro friendly state such as California where your name can automatically put on the birth certificate through your lawyer filing a pre birth order...

I hope this sheds some more light on you, if you have ANY questions please feel free to PM me!!! I would be happy to speak with you.
