Hi - A potential surro I'm talking to let me know today that she got off the patch 2 months ago after 2 years on it. I did a little research and read on one particular site that alot of women had miscarriages after getting pregnant even as much as a few months off the patch. Have any of you heard of this? I hope it isn't true because I'm really starting to like this woman and I'm thinking she'd be a good match for us....anyone know?

I've heard this same thing. I don't know whether it's true or not but it was what a friend of mine had told me when my dr perscribed it to me. After hearing that info I decided not to go on it. If you have a nurse advice line through your provider I'm sure they could give you some insight on it.

I used the patch and got pregnant with my son just fine after getting off it and didn't have a miscarriage. I then switched to the nuva ring after that because i began have reactions to the glue that held the patch on.

Ok maybe I just won't worry about it then....we really like this surro and I don't want this to mess it up. I've gotten such conflicting info about the patch that I think we'll just go ahead with it and hope for the best.
