Hi ladies new to the board but not surrogacy!! I am retired now after 3 transfers one ending in M/C one in a chemical and one in ectopic pg. I live in Southern California and I am a sahm of 2 kids Leah who is 6 and Aaron is 4 :) Anyway just wanted to say a little hello!!

Wow you have had it pretty rough. :( If you don't mind sharing I would love to know how you came to your retirement. I have only had one transfer and now feel like there will never be another. Do you feel like a wingless surro angel? Andrea

I don't mind sharing at all, I think if my last try hadn't of ended so badly I would try again to be a surrogate. My 3rd attempt with my IP's ended in a tubal pg which I needed emergency surgery and lost my left tube because it had ruptured. I spent 3 days in the hospital and the day I was going to be discharged it all went to hell and the tube ruputured. My dh and I decided that trying again was just to scary but I haven't been able to get away from the boards lol. Do I feel like a wingless surro, yes I do I had set out to do this wonderful thing for another couple and all 3 times ended in disaster. I do feel a void espically seeing as my due date with this last one is fast approching which hurts. But I have tried to move on as best as I can and I try to look at it like I did do something even if it didn't end the way I wanted to I at least tried to do some good :)

I so agree, it takes an amazing person to do these kinds of things and we are lucky to have you here!
